Scam Emails

We have been made aware that there are scammers reaching out to authors claiming to be one of the agents at this agency. Please stay vigilant.
It is very unusual for a literary agent to reach out directly to an author without that author making an approach first, but it can happen occasionally for non-fiction. However, where it does happen, the agent will always use an official agency email address – in our case that’s @hs-la.com – if an email is coming from gmail/hotmail etc then it is definitely not from us.
