The Carnegies are the UK’s longest running and best-loved children’s book awards, recognising outstanding reading experiences created through writing and illustration in books for children and young people. As part of its mission to champion our libraries, the Carnegie Medal for Writing is awarded by children’s librarians—who do absolutely incredible work.
We’re so excited that Philippa Leathley’s Inkbound: Meticulous Jones and the Shadow Compass has been nominated for the 2027 Carnegie Medal for Writing. Winners will be announced next summer—we’ll have everything crossed for Philippa! Find out more about the Awards and their impact here: https://carnegies.co.uk/about-the-awards/
