Born in Nottinghamshire but now living in Berkshire near the Thames, Julie-Ann Corrigan is a best-selling novelist whose literary style also has the commercial edge so necessary for success in today’s competitive markets.
Beginning her literary career writing short stories and magazine articles, Julie-Ann has been shortlisted for the prestigious Bridport Short Story Prize, the Fish Short Story Prize, the Mslexia Novel Competition, and in 2024 she was the winner of the I Am In Print Fantasy/Sci/Fi Novel competition.
She writes contemporary psychological thrillers as JA Corrigan – The Nurse, The Bad Sister, Falling Suns. Under the pseudonym, Jules Hayes she writes modern historical fiction – The Spanish Girl, The Walls We Build. She has recently begun writing upmarket speculative fiction.
Julie-Ann has a Humanities degree, majoring in modern history and English literature. She is also a qualified physiotherapist. As part of the team at The Writing Coach, she mentors aspiring writers of both fiction and non-fiction, work which she loves.
She loves to run and has recently taken up yoga, which has turned out to be a life-changing practice.
